
The Boston Bruins American Hockey League affiliate re-assigned defenseman Jackson Edward to the Maine Mariners of the ECHL on Monday. The Providence Bruins sent Edward to Maine a day after clinching a playoff berth. Edward was drafted with the 200th pick overall in the 2022 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins.

This season, the 21-year-old defenseman recorded one goal with six assists and a minus-5 rating in 31 games with Providence. The Bruins signed Jackson Edward to a three-year entry-level contract with an annual NHL cap hit of $860,000 on October 25, 2023. Edward played three seasons and was an assistant captain with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound blueliner has one year remaining on his contract and will then be a restricted free agent. Maine is currently 28-33-4 and in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.
