Boston Bruins Re-Sign John Farinacci

The Boston Bruins today re-signed 24-year-old forward John Farinacci to a one-year, two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $775,000. In 58 games for Providence last season, he recorded 38 points on ten goals and 28 assists. He was a plus-nine, two game-winning goals, and six penalty minutes. In eight Calder Cup Playoff games, he scored a goal. He was a plus-three. He made his NHL debut this season for the Bruins. In his lone game, he scored his first career goal. He was a plus-one.

John Farinacci

Farinacci started at Harvard University, playing in 31 games, and he had 22 points on ten goals and 12 assists. He was a plus-five with four power-play goals and 21 penalty minutes. In 2020-21, he played in the USHL with the Muskegon Lumberjacks. In seven games, he had eight points on four goals and four assists. He was a plus-two. He also played for Team USA in the World Juniors. In seven games, he had seven points on five goals and two assists. He was a plus eight.

He spent the next two seasons back at Harvard, appearing in 48 games. Farinacci had 39 points on 15 goals and 24 assists. He was a +19 with three power-play goals and four game-winning goals. In his first season with Providence, he played in 71 games, recording 38 points on 12 goals and 26 assists. He was even in plus/minus with three power-play goals, two shorthanded goals, and 16 penalty minutes. In four Calder Cup Playoff games that season, he had two points on a goal and an assist. He was a plus-two.
