
The Boston Bruins, fresh off a 7-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night, will face the Chicago Blackhawks tonight at the TD Garden. Today, they announced that the team is recalling forward Riley Duran on an emergency basis, and they are assigning forward Patrick Brown to Providence.

Riley Duran
The Bruins drafted Duran in 2020 with the 182nd overall pick. He finished his college hockey career, appearing in 102 games with the Providence Friars. Duran recorded 55 points on 27 goals and 28 assists. In 2021-22, he played for Team USA in the World Juniors, where in five games he recorded five points on two goals and three assists. Last season, in 11 games with the Providence Bruins, he recorded four points on two goals and two assists. This season in 58 games, he has 16 points on 12 goals and four assists. The Woburn, MA native will now make his NHL debut with his hometown team.
Patrick Brown
Brown has played in 15 games with the Bruins this season, recording an assist. In 52 games at Providence, he has 44 points on 16 goals and 28 assists. Last season with Boston, in 11 games, he also had just an assist. In 42 games with Providence, he had 32 points on 11 goals and 21 assists. Brown has played in 164 career NHL games, recording 26 points on ten goals and 16 assists. He is a career -29 and has one shorthanded goal.
