BREAKING: Lindy Ruff Fired

Lindy Ruff Fired

The New Jersey Devils have made a significant shake-up in their coaching staff today, as they announced the relieving of Lindy Ruff of his duties as head coach. Ruff, a seasoned NHL coach took the helm of the Devils in 2020. However, despite his experience, the team’s performance has fallen short of expectations. In a bid to revitalize the team’s fortunes, the Devils have turned to Travis Green to take over coaching.

Travis Green, the newly appointed head coach, brings a fresh perspective to the Devils’ bench. Having previously served as the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks, Green is no stranger to the demands and challenges of coaching in the NHL. Known for his strategic acumen and ability to develop young talent, Green’s appointment signals a shift in the Devils’ approach towards a more dynamic and forward-thinking style of play. His track record of fostering a competitive spirit within his teams bodes well for the Devils’ aspirations for success.

This coaching change comes at a pivotal moment for the New Jersey Devils, with hopes pinned on Travis Green’s leadership to ignite a final push toward the playoffs. With Green now at the helm, there’s a palpable sense of optimism among fans. As the Devils aim to secure a postseason berth fans are counting on him for success in the crucial last 21 games ahead. As the team prepares for this new chapter, General Manager Tom Fitzgerald will address the media tomorrow at 10 am, followed by Travis Green speaking after he hosts his first-morning skate before the game against the Panthers.
