The Bruins defeated Chicago 3-1 in Boston on October 11. David Pastrnak scored two goals for the winners. The Bruins again have the best goaltending in the league with a .953 save percentage.

Chicago Blackhawks Notes:

The Blackhawks have started the season with a difficult schedule that includes Boston twice, Colorado, Pittsburgh, and Vegas twice. Chicago’s power play has struggled at just 7.4 percent. Rookie Connor Bedard is second on the team in ice time with 20:18 per game. Chicago is without former Bruin forward Taylor Hall, who aggravated a shoulder injury and is week to week.

Players To Watch:

Chicago – Veteran Corey Perry leads the team with five points and is just 12 points away from 900 for his career. This will be regular season game number 1,264 for the 2003 first-round draft pick. Young defenseman Alex Vlasic has had a good start to the season and is a plus-6. The 22-year-old is playing just under 20 minutes per game.

Boston – Rookie center Matt Poitras scored his first two NHL goals in a win over Anaheim. The 2022 second-round draft pick surprisingly made the team out of training camp and is earning his keep so far. Hampus Lindholm leads the team with 31 shifts per game.
