Buffalo Sabres Recall Forward

The Buffalo Sabres won on Monday 4-3 in a shootout snapping a three-game losing streak following a three-game winning streak for Buffalo. They return to the ice on Thursday night in Ottawa to face the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre. They will be playing that game likely without forward Jiri Kulich who left Monday’s game with a lower-body injury which led to them recalling forward Tyson Kozak this morning from the Rochester Americans of the AHL.

Jiri Kulich

Kulich this season has played in 31 games with Buffalo recording nine points on seven goals and two assists, he is a minus-one this season. Kulich also played in four games with Rochester recording three points on two goals and an assist. Last season, Kulich appeared in one game with Buffalo and failed to record a point and finished as a minus one, at Rochester he played in 57 games recording 45 points on 27 goals and 18 assists, and ended as a plus two. His first season in the Sabres organization was in 2022-23 when he played with Rochester and in 62 games he had 46 points on 24 goals and 22 assists and finished as a minus-seven.

Tyson Kozak

Kozak has appeared with Buffalo in three games this season scoring a goal. In Rochester, he’s played in 24 games recording 12 points on six goals and six assists, and he is a plus even. Last season in 41 games at Rochester he finished with 12 points on five goals and seven assists, he finished as a minus-five. His first season in Rochester was in 2022-23 when he recorded ten points on five goals and five assists in 55 games.
