Today, the Buffalo Sabres signed forward Jake Leschyshyn to a one-year, two-way deal. The deal has a $775,000 AAV for the NHL with a $350,000 AAV for the AHL, and $400,000 guaranteed. Leschyshyn played for the Hartford Wolf Pack last season. In 69 games, he had 24 points on 13 goals and 11 assists. He was a -35 with seven power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, two game-winning goals, and 34 penalty minutes.

Leschyshyn has spent seven seasons in the AHL. He’s played for the Wolf Pack, Henderson Silver Knights, and Chicago Wolves. In 271 career games, he has 104 points on 50 goals and 54 assists. He is a -43 with 18 power-play goals, two shorthanded goals, seven game-winning goals, and 160 penalty minutes. In 24 Calder Cup Playoff games, he has nine points on seven goals and two assists. He is a minus-four with a power-play goal, a game-winning goal, and 11 penalty minutes. Leschyshyn has also played in 77 career NHL games, having spent time with the Vegas Golden Knights and the New York Rangers. He has six points on two goals and four assists. He is a -13 with 16 penalty minutes. A solid get for the Rochester Americans for the 2025-26 season.
