
The Calgary Flames are sitting in the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference currently tied with the Vancouver Canucks. Despite losing three straight games and six of their last eight the Flames will be buyers at the trade deadline which is this Friday. According to Anthony Di Marco of Daily Faceoff, one name they have recently checked in on is Brandon Carlo from the Boston Bruins. Di Marco also stated the teams have yet to dive into details, but the Flames are interested. Players on Boston’s roster will be available for the right price. Elliotte Friedman mentioned on the 32 Thoughts podcast the Flames are looking to move Daniil Miromanov and they also have two first this year and next year, some enticing pieces for the Bruins to look into.

Brandon Carlo
Carlos is in his ninth season, all with the Bruins. Boston drafted him 37th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft. He’s appeared in 615 games recording 109 points on 29 goals and 80 assists. He’s a career +130, has one power-play point, 875 blocked shots, and 946 hits. This season in 61 games he has nine points on a goal and eight assists. He’s a plus-three, has 117 blocked shots, and 61 hits.
