
The Calgary Flames today locked up goalie Dustin Wolf following a fantastic rookie season. The deal is a seven-year extension that carries a $7.5 million AAV. Wolf last season in 53 games went 29-16-8 with a .910 save percentage, a 2.64 goals-against average, and three shutouts. He finished second in the Calder Memorial Trophy voting. Wolf also finished eighth in Vezina Trophy voting. This is the Flames’ second extension in the last few days after extending forward Connor Zary the other day.

Dustin Wolf
The Flames drafted Wolf 214th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut on April 12, 2023, stopping 23 of the 24 shots he faced in a win. In 2023-24 he played in 17 games, going 7-7-1 with a .893 save percentage and a 3.16 goals-against average. He also spent four seasons in the AHL, his first season in 2020-21 with the Stockton Heat, where he appeared in three games, going 2-1-0 with a 3.24 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage. In 2021-22 he appeared in 47 games, going 33-9-4 with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage. The Heat changed to the Calgary Wranglers in 2022-23, where Wolf appeared in 55 games. He went 42-10-2 with a 2.09 goals-against average, a .932 save percentage, and seven shutouts. In his last season in the AHL, he appeared in 36 games, going 20-12-3 with a 2.45 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage, and four shutouts. In 28 Calder Cup Playoff games, he went 16-12-0 with a 2.50 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage, and five shutouts.
