Carolina Hurricanes Roster Moves 10/24

All 32 NHL teams are in action tonight, and the Carolina Hurricanes will be taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Hurricanes are looking to snap their recent skid as they have lost two straight dropping games to the Seattle Kraken and the Colorado Avalanche, while the Tampa Bay Lightning are coming in off an overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night. The Hurricanes are struggling with injuries to start the year with Andrei Svechnikov still out, and they’ve now lost Sebastian Aho, Frederik Andersen, and most recently, Brett Pesce. With the Pesce injury, the Hurricanes today called up Dylan Coghlan from the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL; that’s where Coughlan was sent after training camp with the Hurricanes not having an AHL affiliate.

Roster Moves By The Numbers

Pesce has played in five of the Hurricanes’ six games and has recorded two points on a goal and an assist; he is a plus-three and has seven shots on goal as well as 14 blocked shots and five hits.
