The Boston Bruins have only three games left, including tonight, but they have confirmed that defenseman Charlie McAvoy and Forward Mark Kastelic will not return this season. McAvoy has been out since the Four Nations Face-Off when he sustained an injury to his shoulder when Team USA played Team Finland. On the day of the Championship, he was taken to Mass General as he suffered an infection that required a procedure and him to be hospitalized. Kastelic has been out since the middle of March with an upper-body injury. He was expected to be out only a week, but he has missed nine games. With the Bruins eliminated from the playoffs, it makes sense for neither guy to return this season.
