Connor Ingram Leaves Game With Injury

The Utah Hockey Club picked up a 5-4 shootout win over the Washington Capitals today. There was only two games today before the NHL goes into a two-week hiatus for the Four Nations Faceoff. Utah suffered a loss midway through the first period as Connor Ingram left the game with an upper-body injury just under 13 minutes into the game. Ingram had stopped nine of the 11 shots he faced before leaving the game. Karel Vejmelka replaced Ingram and stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced. With two points in today’s game, they now sit six points back of the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference heading into the break.

Connor Ingram

The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Ingram with the 88th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Ingram would be traded to the Nashville Predators on June 14, 2019. In 2021-22 he appeared in three games for the Predators. He went 1-2-0 with a 3.71 goals-against average and a .879 save percentage. Ingram was claimed off waivers by the Arizona Coyotes on October 10, 2022. In two seasons in Arizona he went 29-34-11. He posted a .907 save percentage and a 3.08 goals against average; he also posted seven shutouts. The team then moved to Utah. In 20 games this season he is 9-7-4 with a .885 save percentage and a 3.16 goals-against average.
