
The Vancouver Canucks today traded forward Dakota Joshua to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick in the 2028 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, in 57 games for the Canucks, Joshua recorded 14 points. He had seven goals and seven assists. he was a -13 with two power-play points, 193 total hits. 38 penalty minutes. The Maple Leafs add a physical forward. Joshua is under contract for the next three seasons with an AAV of $3.25 million.

The 6-3, 206 lbs forward spent his first two seasons with the St. Louis Blues, playing in 42 games. He recorded nine points on four goals and five assists. He was a plus-three with 100 total hits and 23 penalty minutes. The next three seasons with the Canucks he played in 199 games. Joshua recorded 69 points on 36 goals and 33 assists. He was a minus-ten with four power-play points, two shorthanded goals, seven game-winning goals, 660 total hits, and 158 penalty minutes. In 241 career games he has 78 points on 40 goals and 38 assists. He is a minus-seven with three power-play goals, two shorthanded goals, nine game-winning goals, 760 career hits, and 181 penalty minutes.
