Detroit Red Wings Affiliates and Prospects November Check-In

The Detroit Red Wings finished November 6-6-1. Their minor league affiliates combined to go 16-8-1. Their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, finished the month going 7-4-0, and in the ECHL, their affiliate, the Toledo Walleye, went 9-4-1.

Grand Rapids Griffins

The Grand Rapids Griffins outscored their opponents in November 37-30. The offense was led by Amadeus Lombardi, Nate Danielson, Alexandre Doucet, and Joe Snively. Lombardi finished the month with nine points on five goals and four assists. Danielson had nine points as well on one goal and eight assists. Doucet had seven points in three goals and four assists. Snively finished with seven points as well on five goals and two assists. The goaltending combined for a 2.39 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. Sebastian Cossa led the way going 4-3-0 with a 2.31 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. Ville Husso went 3-0-0 with a 2.01 goals against average and a .935 save percentage. Finally, Carter Gylander made one start going 0-1-0 with a 4.07 goals against average and a .892 save percentage.

Toledo Walleye

Toledo in November also outscored their opponents 48-37. Brandon Hawkins, Tyler Spezia, Trenton Bliss, Mitchell Lewandowski, Brandon Kruse, Griffin Ness, and Sam Craggs led the offense. Hawkins had 17 points on ten goals and seven assists. Spezia finished with 14 points on five goals and nine assists. Kruse Lewandowski, and Ness each had ten points; Kruse on a goal and nine assists, Lewandowski on two goals and eight assists, and Ness on eight goals and two assists. Craggs had nine points in four goals and five assists. The goalies combined for a 2.43 goals against average and a .901 save percentage. Jan Bednar played in eight games going 5-3-0 with a 2.64 goals against average and a .896 save percentage. Carter Gylander appeared in six games going 4-1-1 with a 2.15 goals against average and a .908 save percentage with one shutout.

Red Wings Top 10 Prospects

1.) Defenseman – Simon Edvinsson – Detroit Red Wings

Edvinsson with Detroit, in November, put up six points on two goals and four assists. This season he has ten points on three goals and seven assists.

2.) Forward – Nate Danielson – Grand Rapids Griffins

Danielson in November had nine points on a goal and eight assists. This season he has 13 points on three goals and ten assists.

3.) Defenseman – Axel Sandin-Pellikka – Skelleftea AIK

Sandin-Pellikka has nine points in November coming on four goals and five assists. This season he has 19 points on seven goals and 12 assists.

4.) Forward – Michael Brandsegg-Nygård – Skelleftea AIK

Brandsegg-Nygård in November had five points on two goals and three assists. He has six points this season on three goals and three assists.

5.) Forward – Marco Kasper – Detroit Red Wings

Kasper in November scored his first career NHL goal and finished with six points on two goals and four assists. This season he has seven points on two goals and five assists.

6.) Goalie – Sebastian Cossa – Grand Rapids Griffins

Cossa GP 4-3-0 415 M. 174/190 2.31 GAA. .916% in November appeared in seven games going 4-3-0 with a 2.31 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. He is 9-4-1 this season with a 2.21 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage with one shutout.

7.) Goalie – Trey Augustine – Michigan State Spartans

Augustine in November made five starts going 5-0-0 with a 3.40 goals against average and a .938 save percentage; he also had a shutout. This season he is 9-1-0 with a 1.70 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage.  

8.) Forward – Carter Mazur – Grand Rapids Griffins

Mazur is currently injured and will likely be out for a few months.

9.) Forward – Dmitri Buchelnikov – HC Vityaz

Buchelnikov in November had nine points on two goals and seven assists. This season he had 28 points on eight goals and 20 assists.

10.) Forward – Max Plante – Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs

Plante returned for two games and had one point on an assist. This season in three games he had three points all on assists.
