The Detroit Red Wings will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight in the first half of a back-to-back as they face the New York Rangers tomorrow night. This morning ahead of morning skate they announced that they have recalled goaltender Ville Husso from the Grand Rapids of the AHL. The Red Wings have been dealing with the flu going around the locker room and they might signal that one of the goalies may have caught the flu. Detroit head coach Derek LaLonde announced yesterday that Alex Lyon would be getting the start in tonight’s game but it was announced this morning that Lyon suffered a lower body injury that he tweaked yesterday and he would be out tonight giving the start to Cam Talbot tonight and Husso tomorrow. Husso got the start in net on opening night for the Red Wings against the Pittsburgh Penguins and he took the loss in that game giving up four goals on 14 shots in the Red Wings’ 6-3 loss to the Penguins. He was then sent down to Grand Rapids where he made two starts going 1-0-0 with a 0.70 goals against average and a .970 save percentage, he left his second start with an injury but he returned and got the start yesterday picking up a win stopping 37 of the 39 shots he faced.
