Red Wings Roster Moves 10/15

Last night, the Detroit Red Wings picked up their first win of the 2023-24 season by beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-4 thanks to the offseason acquisitions as Alex DeBrincat scored two goals, Daniel Sprong and J.T. Compher each added another; Sprong’s was his second in as many games. The Red Wings’ next game will come tomorrow on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets, who also picked up their first win yesterday by beating the New York Rangers 5-3. Before last night’s game, the Red Wings had called up Zach Aston-Reese, although he did not dress for last night’s game, with the Red Wings going with 11 forwards and seven defensemen. Today, before heading to Columbus, they sent Aston-Reese down to the AHL to play with the Grand Rapids Griffins, and they called up forward Austin Czarnik, who has gotten off to a hot start for the Griffins, scoring two goals and adding an assist in two games this weekend.
