The Detroit Red Wings will take on the Seattle Kraken tonight, looking to continue their hot start and pick up their sixth straight win since dropping the season opener to the New Jersey Devils. The Red Wings have been active lately with moves due to injuries sustained to start the year. Robby Fabbri was announced last week to be out for a month, and then on Friday, it was announced Klim Kostin had sustained an injury during practice and left; he is still considered day-to-day. Following the morning skate, it was said that Red Wings defenseman Jeff Petry is now day-to-day. Yesterday, due to the Red Wings being off, Jonatan Berggren was returned to Grand Rapids, but with Detroit playing today, he is back for tonight’s game and was skating with the fourth line at practice alongside Austin Czarnik and Christian Fischer. Red Wings head coach Derek LaLonde also said this morning following practice that if Petry and Kostin are still out for Thursday’s game when Detroit will play the Winnipeg Jets, they would need to call up another player from Grand Rapids.
Roster Moves By The Numbers
Jeff Petry
The Red Wings acquired Petry from the Montreal Canadiens. He has played in four games for the Red Wings and has two points coming on assists; he is a minus one, has four blocked shots, and seven hits.
Jonatan Berggren
Berggren made his Red Wings season debut on Sunday and failed to register a point in the Red Wings 6-2 win over the Calgary Flames. Berggren was hot with the Griffins in the AHL, as he had three points on assists in the first two games of the season.
