The Atlanta Gladiators announced today that they have re-signed two defensemen to the 2023-24 roster, Brayden Crowder and Dylan Carabia. They join the recent signings of teammates Cody Sylvester, Mitch Walinski and Tyler Harmon. Through both are still relatively new to the team, Carabia since April 2022 and Crowder only since March 2023, they have already demonstrated their own unique form of tenacity on the ice.

While part of the Southern Professional Hockey League Carabia ranked fourth in points and was tied for third in assists. Since the start of his rookie season with Atlanta, Dylan Carabia earned nine points in just 55 games and put 2 goals in the net for the Gladiators with 7 assists. If Carabia continues to work on his overall impact on the ice, we have no doubt he will continue to be a strong point for the team next season.

Brayden Crowder has not been with the Gladiators long enough to get a true sense of what he can bring to the team just yet. However, before signing with Atlanta last year, he earned five points in only 20 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones. Prior to his time with the Cyclones, he played four seasons with Miami University of Ohio where he totaled fifteen points (3g-12a). He will likely become a key defender for the Gladiators, with both his quickness and agility in the zone being viewed as an continued asset for his team.

The first game of the 2023-24 season will take place at home against the in-state rival Savannah Ghost Pirates on October 21st.
