ECHL: 2025-26 Qualifying Offers | Tahoe Knight Monsters

The Tahoe Knight Monsters have announced that they have given qualifying offers to four players. Any player with a qualifying offer can’t be traded, and players who have already signed a contract with the team don’t need a qualifying offer.

Players Who Got Qualifying Offers

Isaac Johnson- The 26-year-old forward is the most notable name on the list. Johnson spent 33 games with the Tahoe, putting up eight goals and 20 assists in 33 games. He would add two goals and five assists for seven points in eight Kelly Cup Playoff Games. Johnson began the season in Finland, where he played in seven games but didn’t find the scoresheet.

Cal Kiefiuk – In his first full season in the ECHL, Kiefiuk had an injury-shortened season, during which he recorded one goal and four assists for five points in 31 games. He played in one game during the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Mascomb, Michigan, native played three games with the Wheeling Nailers at the end of the 2023-24 season. Like this year, he would also play in one game during the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Evan Junker- The Elk River, Minnesota native, spent seven games with the Tahoe Knight Monsters, putting up two assists, and he added one assist in six Kelly Cup Playoff games. Junker spent his collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He put up five goals and 20 assists for 25 points in 85 games. The Pointers won back-to-back WIAC Championships in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, Junker would be named to the WIAC All-Conference team.

Mason McCarty- The 28-year-old has had a fun year as he spent the 2024-25 season with the Rapid City Rush, Cincinnati Cyclones, and Idaho Steelheads. In 37 games last season, he put up five goals and eight assists for 13 points. McCarty has spent four seasons in the ECHL playing in 130 games with the Rapid City Rush, Kalamazoo Wings, Iowa Heartlanders, Reading Royals, Cincinnati Cyclones, and Idaho Steelheads. He’s put up 28 goals and 29 assists for 57 points.
