ECHL: 25-Year-Old Center Returns to Cyclones from Finland

Hector Urcia/InsideTheRink

Noah Kane, cousin of NHL legend Patrick Kane, is making a return to the Cincinnati Cyclones after a stint with JoKP in the Mestis League, signing a contract earlier today. While playing for JoKP, he recorded seven goals and eleven assists in 28 games with a -2 plus/minus, showcasing his skills as a reliable depth forward. The Cyclones had placed him on their protected list this past June, and now he’s back to contribute to the team. He will likely fit in on the bottom six forward group for this team, as they are now making a run for the playoffs in the Central Division.

Last season in Cincinnati, Noah played 16 games, where he netted two goals and provided four assists, totaling 6 points with a -1 plus/minus rating.

Noah Kane’s Career

Hockey is definitely in Noah Kane’s blood, being related to superstar Patrick Kane, a three-time Stanley Cup champion currently with the Detroit Red Wings. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Noah made a name for himself as a rookie in the NAHL with the Maine Nordiques, racking up 64 points in 54 games. After two years at Mercyhurst University in the NCAA, he transferred to Long Island University, where he achieved a personal best of 30 points in his final college season.

At LIU, Remy Parker, a depth forward on the Cyclones right now, primarily on the fourth line, played with Kane during the 2023-2024. Hopefully, the former LIU Sharks can re-form their connection and maybe even see ice time with each other in the bottom six of the lineup down the stretch this season.

Below is Kane’s first pro goal of his career last season with the Cincinnati Cyclones last season against the Indy Fuel:

Below is a list of Kane’s Career Awards So Far
