The Utah Grizzlies have announced that they have re-signed 6’1″ forward Adam Berg for the 2025-26 season.

Berg then went to the WHL, where he spent the remainder of the 2014-15 and 2015-16 season with the Regina Pats before joining the Edmonton Oil Kings. In the WHL, Berg played in 133 games where he had 16 goals and 30 assists for 46 points with 66 penalty minutes and a -21. In 12 playoff games, Berg had three assists with two penalty minutes and a -1.

Berg then finished his junior career in the BCHL with the Chilliwack Chiefs in the 2017-18 season. He registered five goals and 21 assists for 26 points with 30 penalty minutes in 41 games with the Chiefs.

The Calgary, Alberta native then went on to play at Brock University in USports. Berg spent five seasons at Brock, but only played in four seasons after the 2020-21 season was cancelled due to COVID. In 18 playoff games, he registered six goals and six assists for 12 points with six penalty minutes.

Professional Career

Adam Berg adds grit and energy to the Utah Grizzlies lineup. After completing his collegiate career, he signed with the Cincinnati Cyclones to close out the 2022-23 season. He returned to Cincinnati for 2023-24 but joined the Utah Grizzlies in November after a midseason trade. At the start of the 2024-25 season, Berg briefly played overseas, skating in nine games with the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL before returning to Utah.

Since turning pro, Berg has appeared in 127 career ECHL games, recording 21 goals and 27 assists for 48 points. He has also picked up 48 penalty minutes and carries a career -15 rating. In the 2024-25 campaign with the Grizzlies, Berg suited up for 50 games, where he registered seven goals, ten assists, eight penalty minutes, and a -7.

Berg plays a relentless, hard-driving style. He uses his speed to reach the front of the net, screens goaltenders, and hunts for rebounds. Whether it’s crashing the crease, making a pass into the slot, or firing off a shot, Berg knows how to create high-danger chances. His aggressive forechecking and physical presence make him a constant factor in the offensive zone and a player the Grizzlies can rely on to generate momentum.
