
The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve signed defenseman Conner Hutchison for the 2025-26 season. Hutchison, 25, made his ECHL debut last season, putting up three assists in 11 games with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. He becomes the sixth defenseman to sign with the Thunder.
Hutchison has spent the last four seasons exclusively at the NCAA level. He spent three years at Sacred Heart University. In 73 games with the Pioneers, he would put up seven goals and 27 assists for 34 points. Hutchison spent his final year of eligibility at Miami University (Ohio), where he put up two goals and seven assists for nine points in 33 games.
Junior Career
The Hicksville, NY, native began his career at the end of the 2017-18 season, where he put up an assist in two games with the Chicago Storm (USHL). He would spend the following two years in the BCHL with the Penticton Vees. During his time with the Vees, he put up eight goals and 44 assists for 52 points. Hutchison would return to the USHL during the 2020-21 season after playing just six games at the University of Vermont, where he put up an assist. In 33 games with the Tri-City Storm, he would put up three goals and 11 assists for 14 points.
Ties To Adirondack
Connor became the second member of the Hutchison family to dress for Adirondack, following his brother Nick, who spent time with the Thunder during the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 seasons. He would pick up a goal and assist in his first and only game during the 2019-20 season. During the 2022-23 season, he spent the majority of the year in Utica, where he put up four goals and five assists for nine points in 31 games. He spent one weekend with Adirondack, where he had three goals and two assists in five games.
