ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Announce 2024-25 Schedule

Cody Conine/InsideTheRink

The ECHL schedule was released earlier today, and the Adirondack Thunder will once again begin the season on the road as they will play the Norfolk Admirals on October 18th and 19th before having their home opener on October 26th vs Trois-Rivieres Lions. All Thunder fans should be looking forward to this night, as Adirondack will be raising a banner. Unlike last season when the Thunder only played nine games outside the North Division (six against the Florida Everblades and three against the Allen Americans), Adirondack will play 15 games against non-divisional opponents during the 2024-25 season.

New Opponents For The Thunder

The Adirondack Thunder will once again make a trip down South, but instead of playing just one opponent, they will face the Jacksonville Icemen, Savannah Ghost Pirates, and South Carolina Stingrays, all in a matter of five days with two of those five games coming against the Stingrays. For the second straight season, the Adirondack Thunder will make a trip out West, this time to play one of the ECHL’s newest teams, the Tahoe Knight Monsters, for three games in February. Adirondack will also visit the Kalamazoo Wings and Cincinnati Cyclones after the All-Star Break.

Three opponents who haven’t visited the Cool Insuring Arena in quite some time will visit this season. The Orlando Solar Bears will visit the Thunder for three games in January, and the Indy Fuel will visit at the end of March. Adirondack will also get to face the newest team in the North Division, the Wheeling Nailers, five times this season; those five meetings will happen within the course of nine days.
