The Adirondack Thunder had a quiet 2024 future considerations trade deadline with only one move being made, and that was acquiring defenseman Scott Allan from the Jacksonville Icemen. Allan completes the trade that sent defenseman Ivan Chukavov to Jacksonville last August. The 28-year-old blueliner spent five seasons at Concordia University of Edmonton, putting up six goals and 27 assists for 33 points in 89 games. Allan adds to a blueline that has continued to grow in height as Adirondack added both Darian Skeoch and Jackson van de Leest last season.
Chukarov had a career year in his first season with the Icemen, scoring five goals and 23 assists for 28 points in 70 games last season. Prior to joining the Icemen, the Illinois native had played with the Worcester Railers and Adirondack Thunder. He has 11 goals and 49 assists for 60 points in 219 career games and has added one assist in eight career Kelly Cup Playoff Games. He spent his collegiate career at U-Mass Amherst, where he had six goals and 19 assists in 128 games.
