ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Loan Defenceman To Syracuse Crunch

The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they have loaned defenceman Darion Skeoch to the Syracuse Crunch. Skeoch, who has played in 37 games this season, putting up five assists this year as he’s spent time with the Savannah Ghost Pirates before being acquired by the Thunder, just came back from a personnel leave after missing last Saturday’s game vs Trois-Rivieres Lions. This is a big loss for the Thunder on the physicality side of things as Nico Blachman is still on the IR, and there has been no word on Zach Walker, who took a hit up high from Koletrane Wilson in the third; Walker remained on the bench but didn’t take another shift the rest of the game.

With Skoech getting called up, I would expect Ryan Orgel to find his way into the Thunder lineup if Walker is unable to go expect Adirondack to go 10-7 with Bray Crowder also finding his way into Adirondack’s lineup. Adirondack may seem a little short up front right now, but the hope is that T.J. Friedmann and Patrick Grasso are able to find themselves back into the Thunder lineup during the Thunder four-game road trip, which begins Wednesday in Norfolk.
