The Adirondack Thunder started making some changes on Friday, and there were a flurry of moves through the organization, so let’s get caught up before tonight’s game. Jace Isley, who was on a contract with the Utica Comets would be traded to the Hershey Bears this morning, Isley had seven goals and 20 assists in 64 games with the Thunder.

Adirondack Gets Help Prior to Friday Night’s Game

Brendan Less, who has missed the last five games, will be back in the lineup tonight. This is a huge boost to the Thunder blue line, as he’s been one of the more consistent pieces on the back end this year, having played in eight games.

The first move came this morning as the Thunder announced the signing of Tyson Kirby. He will make his ECHL debut tonight on the fourth line, centering Shaw Boomhower and Chase Brand. Kirkby had 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points in 14 games in the SPHL with the Binghampton Black Bears before signing with the Thunder. He spent his collegiate career at nearby SUNY-Oswego.

Who’s Out

Forwards Keanan Stewart and Zach Bannister were both placed on reserve prior to Friday Night’s game to make room for Less and Kirby. Stewart has been in and out of the Thunder lineup and has one assist in nine games this season. Bannister, who has played in 13 of the 14 games this season, was also placed on reserve as he has a goal and an assist on the season.
