
The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Sean Gulka for the 2025-26 season. Gulka, 25, began the season in the SPHL with the Pensacola Ice Flyers, where he put up a goal and 22 PIMs in four games before signing with Adirondack. In 34 games with the Thunder, Gulka had two goals and three assists for five points along with 120 PIMs. He dropped the gloves four times with the Thunder, including twice on January 5th vs the Trois-Rivieres Lions. Gulka will be a fourth-line winger who will primarily be used to throw a big hit or drop the gloves like he did last season with the Thunder.
Sean Gulka has spent the majority of his career in the SPHL with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. In his four years with the Ice Flyers, Gulka has put up 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points along with 214 PIMs in 74 games. During the 2023-24 season, he would lead Pesacola in PIMs. He played in two SPHL playoff games in 2023. Prior to joining the Thunder, Gulka had spent seven games in the ECHL with the South Carolina Stingrays, where he had 34 PIMs.
BCHL/WHL Career
Prior to going pro, the Langley, British Columbia, native began his career at home in the BCHL with the Langley Rivermen. In 98 games with the Rivermen, he would put up 21 goals and 20 assists for 41 points. He would add four goals in 12 BCHL playoff games. Gulka would then spend three seasons in the WHL with the Spokane Chiefs and Victoria Royals. During his three seasons in the WHL, he put up 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points in 80 games. He would add two goals and an assist in 10 games during the 2019 WHL playoffs with the Royals.
