
The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve re-signed rookie forward Brian Carrabes for the 2025-26 season. Carrabes, 24, re-signs with Adirondack after putting up three assists in 12 games at the end of last season. All three of his assists came in his first three games with the team, including his first career multi-point game on April 6th vs Worcester Railers.
The North Andover, Massachusetts native began his junior career in the NCDC, where he put up two goals and three assists for five points in three games with Islanders Hockey Club. He would then spend the next two years in the USHL with the Sioux Falls Stampede and Sioux City Musketeers. Carrabes would put up 29 goals and 38 assists for 67 points in 91 games in the USHL. He would play in four playoff games with the Musketeers during the 2021 USHL playoffs.
Carrabes would then take the NCAA route. He spent his first two years of eligibility at Boston University, where he put up five goals and five assists for 10 points in 35 games. In his second and last season with the Terriers, they would capture a Hockey East Championship. Carrabes would the spend his last two years of eligibility at the Minnesota State University (Mankato), where he put up 20 goals and 22 assists for 42 points in 75 games. Just like at BU, Carrabes would be part of a Championship team in his final year of eligibility as the Mavericks won the 2025 CCHA Championship.
