ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Rob Lippolis Named 2025 ECHL Broadcaster of the Year

Adirondack Thunder Broadcaster Rob Lippolis has been named the 2025 ECHL Broadcaster of the Year. Lippolis was also named a finalist for the award last season. Lippolis was the brains behind Country Night which was one of three awards the Thunder brought home from the 2024 Summer Meetings in Las Vegas. The Thunder were nominated for three awards this season as Sean Driscall was named a finalist for Ticket Professional of the Year, and Tadd Sipowicz was nominated for the Corporate Partnership Professional of the Year. This is the first time he’s won the award while working with the Adirondack Thunder. Mark Binetti (Greenville Swamp Rabbits), Cam McGuire (Idaho Steelheads), Michael Keeley (Maine Mariners), Weston Dewitt (Norfolk Admirals), and Joey Battaino (Orlando Solar Bears) were all named finalist for Broadcaster of the Year.

Lippolis on winning ECHL Broadcaster of the Year

Prior to joining the Thunder, the Windsor, NY native spent four seasons as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Binghampton Devils (AHL) from 2017-2021. He spent the 2021-22 season calling games for the Binghampton Black Bears of the FPHL. He was named the FPHL Broadcaster of the Year in 2022 in his only season with the Black Bears. Rob Lippolis has called games for the Syracuse Crunch, Hershey Bears, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins during the 2021-22 season. The previous season he called for games at the NHL level for the New Jersey Devils.
