
The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve signed Brannon McManus for the 2025-26 season. In 61 games last season with the Fort Wayne Komets, the 26-year-old had 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points. He would have one goal in seven games during the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs. McManus was acquired by the Thunder at the future consideration trade deadline. He becomes the second signing for the Thunder this summer, joining Kishaun Gervais.
The Newport Beach, California, spent three seasons in the ECHL with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and Fort Wayne Komets. He’s put up 41 goals and 76 assists for 117 points in 191 games and has two goals and four assists for six points in 18 career Kelly Cup Playoff Games. McManus played in seven games with the Abbotsford Canucks putting up three goals at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Prior to going pro, Brannon McManus spent two seasons in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers and Chicago Steel. He would put up 35 goals and 42 assists for 77 points in 111 games. The 5’11 forward would add six goals and four assists for 10 points in 14 games during the 2017 Clark Cup Playoffs. The Steel would go on to win the Clark Cup. McManus would spend five seasons in the NCAA, playing for the University of Minnesota and the University of Nebraska. In 136 games with the Golden Gophers, 39 goals and 48 assists for 87 points. He spent his final year of eligibility at the University of Nebraska, where he put up nine goals and 23 assists for 32 points.
