The Adirondack Thunder made another college signing today as they’ve added forward Dan Ebrahim out of Sacred Heart University. In 33 games this season with the Pinoneers, he put up three goals and two assists for five points. Adirondack also announced that Josh Filmon is headed back up to Adirondack after being called up to the Utica Comets yesterday. Filmon is currently tied for the team lead in goals (18).
Ebrahim, 24, spent the last four seasons at Sacred Heart, where he put up 19 goals and 11 assists for 30 points in 112 games. His second and third years with the Pioneers were his best, as he put up 16 goals and nine assists for 23 points in 58 games. Prior to playing at the NCAA level, the Brooklin, Ontario native spent two seasons in the NCDC with the Jersey Hitmen, where he put up 47 goals and 57 assists for 106 points in 87 games, including leading the league in goals (29) during the 2020-21 season. The Hitmen would win back-to-back Founders’ Cups in 2020 and 2021 and the NCDC Championship in 2021.
The 6’0, 181lb winger should see some time in the middle six for the Thunder, as Adirondack has been stocking up on rookies lately. I would expect Ebrahim to make his ECHL debut tomorrow, as the Thunder are in need of a forward with Dylan Wendt up in Utica. There is no update as of yet on Sean Gulka, who was sick over the weekend.
