The Adirondack Thunder announced they’ve signed forward Keanan Stewart for the 2024-25 season. Steward, 24, will be entering his first full season as a pro after playing just 16 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones at the end of last season, during which time he scored a goal and had three assists for four points. The Guelph, Ontario native brings size to the Thunder, an area they’ve lacked the last couple of years. Stewart is a guy that we will see play anywhere in the lineup and can play either up the middle or on the wing. He became the fifth new face for the Thunder, joining Taylor Ford, Shaw Boomhower, Ryan Francis, and David Fessenden.
“Coming in at 6-foot-3, Keanan Stewart adds size and versatility to our lineup,” said Head Coach Pete MacArthur. “He can play center or wing and has shown the ability to play a 200-foot game adding depth to our forward group.”

Prior to going pro, Stewart spent two years in the OJHL with the Burlington Cougars, where he scored 13 goals and added 16 assists for 29 points in 91 games. He then played four years at Mercyhurst University, where he scored 18 goals and added 11 assists for 29 points in 85 games at the NCAA level, and finished second on the team in goals in his senior season, where he had ten goals and five assists for 15 points in 31 games.
