ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Sign Two New Forwards

The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve signed forwards Patrick Polino and Chase Brand for the 2024-25 season. Polino officially signed with the Thunder after having his rights traded to Adirondack from the Cincinnati Cyclones earlier last week in exchange for Tristan Ashbrook. More on Polino and that trade can be found here. Brand will be a solid depth piece for the Thunder as he can play on either wing but is primarily a center, which means he could see himself playing in a number of different roles next season for Head Coach Pete MacArthur.

“Chase Brand is a high character human who will fit in well with our locker room,” said Head Coach Pete MacArthur. “He will add depth to our forward group, specifically at center ice.”

Brand joins the Thunder after playing seven games at the end of last season with the Reading Royals and is still looking to pick up his first career point. Prior to joining the Royals, the 25-year-old forward would spend two years in the NAHL and USHL, putting up 16 goals and 26 assists for 42 points in 86 games with the Brookings Blizzard. At the USHL level, he would put up 18 goals and 36 assists for 54 points in 76 games with the Sioux Falls Stampede, Omaha Lancers, and Madison Capitols. Brand would then play five seasons at the NCAA level, putting up 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points at St.Cloud State University before spending his final year of eligibility at Augustana University, where he put up five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 30 games.
