ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 01/24/2025

Adirondack Thunder Transactions Graphic

The Adirondack Thunder would announce transactions for the second straight day as they would get another body back from the Utica Comets. However, it wouldn’t come without a price, as another player would join the growing list of injuries for the Thunder. Adirondack will return to action tomorrow night vs Norfolk Admirals after having eight days off.

Dylan Wendt Sent To Adirondack

Julie Taylor/InsideTheRink

Dylan Wendt is heading back to the Thunder after being assigned to Utica on the 16th and would be in the lineup for Monday’s game vs Syracuse Crunch. He has two assists in six games with the Comets this season. In 25 games with the Thunder, he has five goals and seven assists for 12 points, including a goal in his last game with Adirondack. I expect Wendt to slot somewhere in the middle-six for the Thunder this weekend.

Ty Gibson Headed to IR

Julie Taylor/InsideTheRink

Defenseman Ty Gibson is headed to the 3-day IR with an undisclosed injury. Gibson, 21, has four assists in 29 games this season with the Adirondack. Despite being listed as a defenseman, the Victoria, BC native has played as a forward for the Thunder during the last four games as Pete MacArthur has been doing a lot of roster shuffling between call-ups and injuries to the Thunder. Prior to joining the Thunder, Gibson spent parts of five seasons in the WHL with the Everett Silvertips and Regina Pats, where he put up 10 goals and 61 assists for 71 points in 215 WHL games.
