ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 03/09/2024

The Adirondack Thunder have made a few moves prior to tonight’s game vs Maine Mariners. Center Filip Engaras has been recalled to the Utica Comets after playing in the last two games of the Thunder road trip vs Trois-Rivieres Lions and Maine Mariners. Engaras has spent most of the year up in Utica, playing in 35 games putting up three goals and five assists in 38 games with the Comets. Prior to his most recent stint, Engaras had missed a little over a month with an undisclosed injury.

With Engaras back in Utica, Adirondack has activated Shane Harper off reserve; Harper did not make the travel with the team to Maine or Trois-Rivieres. Harper is a huge addition to the Thunder lineup, as he has 14 goals and 32 assists for 46 points in 44 games this season. He will hopefully give the Thunder a much-needed spark.

Jeremy Brodeur was activated off reserve today and will likely get the nod tonight between the pipes; Brodeur was not in the lineup for the past two games for the Thunder, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise with Adirondack carrying three goalies. Brodeur is 16-7-1 this year with a 2.39 GAA, .924SV%, and two shutouts with the Thunder. The New Jersey Native took the loss in the lone appearance he got this year with Utica, where he gave up two goals on 20 shots. Vinnie Purpura will likely get the night off as he’s made an appearance in the last two games for the Thunder.
