ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 04/11/2024

The Adirondack Thunder have announced three transactions on the team’s final off day of the 2023-24 regular season. Ryan Smith is heading to the Springfield Thunderbirds after picking up his 50th point of the season last night vs. Maine Mariners. He now has 27 goals and 23 assists in 69 games with the Thunder this season. Smith previously spent time with the Thunderbirds during the 2021-22 season, where he played in two games but didn’t find the scoresheet. Andre Ghantous is heading back up to the Utica Comets for the second time this season after playing with the Comets on March 22nd vs Bridgeport Islanders. In 10 games with the Thunder, Ghantous has three goals and 10 assists for 13 points, he has points in eight of the ten games he’s played.

Shane Harper was activated off reserve after getting the night off in last night’s 5-2 win over Maine. Harper has played in 53 games this season, putting up 17 goals and 35 assists for 52 points in 53 games this season. Getting Harper back into the lineup is a huge addition to the Thunder, especially with the loss of both Smith and Ghantous; I would expect Harper to be in the lineup tomorrow night as the Thunder have a chance to clinch the North Division with an OT Loss or a win in any fashion if not Adirondack will have two chances to clinch the Division in front of their home crowd with games against Maine on Saturday and Sunday.
