ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 05/04/2024

Head Coach Pete MacArthur mentioned during last night’s media availability that there would be some changes to the Thunder lineup tonight, and that process has already begun to take shape. Forwards, Erik Middendorf and Andre Ghantous have been placed on reserve. Both players had phenomenal regular seasons but have struggled in the playoffs, as Ghantous had 13 points in 13 games and Middendorf had 32 points in 36 games; the Arizona native has yet to find the back of the net with only two assists in seven Kelly Cup Games and the Northern Michigan graduate has only put up a goal and three assists in seven Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Connor Blake and Travis Broughman will both find their way back into the lineup tonight as Adirondack looks to tie the series up at one. Blake has been a huge part of the Thunder since being claimed off waivers from the Idaho Steelheads. In his time with Adirondack he put up two goals and two assists in 13 regular season games, he has one assist in five Kelly Cup Playoff Games. Blake has the ability to play up front or on the back end

Broughman comes back into the lineup to add another big body with Zach Walker suspended for tonight’s game. In 66 games during the regular season, he had 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points, matching his jersey number. His only point of the Kelly Cup Playoffs came on a goal in Game 4 vs. Maine Mariners in the opening round.
