ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 05/11/2024

The Adirondack Thunder have made two changes prior to Game 5 of the North Division Finals vs. Norfolk Admirals.

Who’s Out

Forward Erik Middendorf and defenseman Jackson van de Leest have been placed on reserve. Middendorf comes out of the lineup due to an injury suffered in last night’s game. The Arizona native made incidental contact with Admirals forward Gehrett Sargis late in the third period and was helped off the ice by Trainer Jasmine Honey and headed straight to the locker room. He finished the night with two assists.

Jackson van de Leest will come out of the lineup after a rough night, which saw him take three penalties. In nine Kelly Cup Playoff Games this season he’s put up one assist. The 6’7 defenseman had two assists in 14 games with the Thunder during the regular season and added an assist during his six game stint with the Utica Comets.

Who’s In?

Alex Young will come back into the Thunder lineup after being a healthy scratch for the first two games in Norfolk. The 23-year-old forward has yet to find the scoresheet in four Kelly Cup Playoff Games after putting up impressive numbers in his short seven game stint with Adirondack at the end of the season where he had two goals and four assists for six points.

Brendan Less rejoins the Thunder blueline after being a healthy scratch during the two games in Norfolk as Matt Stief rejoined the Thunder blueline. Less had two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 44 games during the regular season but has yet to find the scoresheet in eight Kelly Cup Playoff Games.
