Alexander “Alex” Campbell, Forward

Alex Campbell (F) has been assigned to the Atlanta Gladiators and is on loan from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL). Campbell was drafted in the 3rd round, 65th overall, by the Nashville Predators in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Known for his versatility, Campbell can play both left wing and center positions. In the 2024-25 season, he has played 18 games for the Milwaukee Admirals so far, scoring two goals and tallying four assists for a total of six points.

Campbell’s journey to the Admirals began with an Amateur Try-Out Contract. He officially signed with the Admirals on March 27, 2024, and secured an American Hockey League contract for the 2024-25 season.

Collegiate Career

During his senior year, Campbell transferred to Northeastern University, where he made a significant impact. In 36 games, he recorded 42 points, including 20 assists and a career-high 22 goals. He was one of only two Northeastern players to surpass the 40-point mark, trailing just one point behind his captain and linemate, Justin Hryckowian.

The Quebec native demonstrated his prowess with six power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and two hat tricks—one in a victory over Brown and another in a tie against No. 11/10 Providence. His two three-goal games ranked second among all NCAA skaters. At the end of the Hockey East regular season, Campbell’s 13 league goals were tied for fifth, and his 24 points placed him 11th among all Hockey East skaters.

In his 36 games with the Huskies, the 5’11” forward recorded at least one point in 27 games and had 11 multi-point games. Campbell also played a crucial role in helping Northeastern secure their fifth Beanpot title in six tournaments, contributing one goal and one assist in two games.

In the 2022-23 season, Campbell had played for Clarkson University in the NCAA, where he recorded 14 goals and 12 assists in 34 games. His performance in the 2021-22 season was equally strong, with 16 goals and 17 assists in 37 games. Campbell’s early career in the 2020-21 season saw him score four goals and 13 assists in 22 games.

Additionally, he earned several accolades, including being named to the USHL First All-Star Team in 2019-2020, the NCAA (ECAC) First All-Star Team in 2021-2022, in addition to the NCAA (Hockey East) Third All-Star Team he earned in 2023-2024. His consistent scoring ability and experience at various levels make him a valuable addition to the Atlanta Gladiators.
