ECHL: Allen Americans Announce 2025-26 Qualifying Offers and Co-Captains

The Allen Americans have announced that they’ve re-signed forwards Spencer Asuchak and Colton Hargrove and named them co-captains for the 2025-26 season. Yesterday, the Allen Americans gave qualifying offers to two players.

Spencer Asuchak and Colton Hargrove Return to Allen

Asuchak, 33, had 18 goals and 21 assists for 37 points in 51 games last season, and the 2025-26 season will be his 13th season in Allen. During his 12 years with the Americans, he’s put up 173 goals and 248 assists for 421 points in 568 games. He’s added 28 goals and 35 assists for 63 points in 99 career Playoff Games (CHL/AHL). His entire ECHL career has been spent in Allen, except for three games with the Ontario Reign during the 2011-12 season. Asuchak has also won three championships during his time in Allen, including two Kelly Cups. The Kamloops, BC native has played in 64 AHL games while putting up five goals and five assists for 10 points while spending time with the Providence Bruins, Worcester Sharks, Chicago Wolves, San Jose Barracuda, and Charlotte Checkers.

“Both Asuchak (Spencer) and Hargrove (Colton), give us veteran playoff experience and success,” noted Steve Martinson.  “Spencer gives our power-play not only net front expertise, but instant face-off puck possession, while finishing every hitting opportunity. Colton is the best overall forward that I’ve watched in years. He scores, make’s plays, but also battles shift in, and shift out. He does it all. When I’m talking to players, I make it clear that if you like the way the Florida Panthers play, then we are your team. The reality is, we’ve been playing that style for years and these two will lead the charge.”
