The suspensions are starting to pile up for the Allen Americans, who were playing two men down during four and have now lost two more players due to suspensions handed out earlier this morning by the league. Mikael Robidoux, who already has a reputation in the league, has been suspended once again; this time, he gets three games and fined an undisclosed amount for Supplementary Discipline. It is not precisely known what Robidoux did; however, he gave one of the referees the bird while heading to the locker room. Robidoux was suspended for 14 games back in November for an altercation with a fan and was suspended again for seven games in January for kneeing. Last season Robidoux led the league with 12 major penalties and 258 penalty minutes in 42 games, while with the Kansas City Mavericks, he finished fourth this year in penalty minutes with 190 in 42 games. He also put up nine goals and seven assists for 16 points; he has yet to find the scoresheet in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. If Allen doesn’t move on, Robidoux’s suspension will carry over to the next time he is on an active ECHL roster
Aidan Brown was also suspended for one game for his illegal hit to the head on Jade Miller at the 16:12 mark of the third period. Brown played 52 games during the regular season with the Norfolk Admirals and Allen Americans, putting up 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points. The Ontario native has put up one assist in five games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Allen doesn’t have any more healthy bodies, so they will likely play three players tonight.
