The Allen Americans have announced that they have re-signed forward Brad Morrison for the 2025-26 season.

Junior Career

Brad Morrison launched his junior career in the WHL in 2012-13, spending most of his time with the Prince George Cougars before finishing with the Vancouver Giants and Lethbridge Hurricanes. In 334 WHL games, he recorded 112 goals and 150 assists for 262 points, along with 198 penalty minutes and a -9 rating. Morrison elevated his game in the postseason, adding 19 goals and 29 assists for 48 points in 27 playoff appearances. He led the 2017-18 WHL playoffs in scoring, piling up 37 points in just 16 games.

Professional Career

After completing his junior career, Morrison signed in the AHL with the Ontario Reign to start his professional career. He then spent the 2019-20 season in the ECHL with the Fort Wayne Komets before spending the 2020-21 season in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs and ECHL with the Indy Fuel.

In the 2021-22 season, Morrison started overseas, playing in the ICEHL with HC Pustertal, before returning to North America. When he returned to North America, Morrison spent the rest of his season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and their ECHL affiliate, Reading Royals.

Morrison followed a similar path in 2022-23, starting the season with HK Nitra in Slovakia, where he appeared in five games and helped the team win the Continental Cup. He then returned to the ECHL, joining the Florida Everblades before being traded to the Kalamazoo Wings. Morrison spent the 2023-24 season with Kalamazoo, then opened the 2024-25 campaign with the Fort Wayne Komets before a midseason trade sent him to the Allen Americans.

Prince George, British Columbia native Brad Morrison has carved out a productive professional career across both the AHL and ECHL. In 57 AHL games, he has scored 13 goals and added 13 assists for 26 points, along with 15 penalty minutes and a +7 rating. In the ECHL, Morrison has appeared in 197 games, racking up 55 goals and 111 assists for 166 points, while collecting 194 penalty minutes and finishing with a +17.

Last season with the Allen Americans, Morrison made an immediate impact. In just 12 games, he registered three goals and 11 assists for 14 points, adding two penalty minutes and a -4 rating.

Since joining the Americans, Morrison has consistently found his way onto the scoresheet. He brings a gritty offensive edge to a team known for its physical style. While he doesn’t drop the gloves often, Morrison isn’t afraid to stand up for his teammates when necessary. He’s expected to remain a key contributor to Allen’s offensive attack in the upcoming season.
