The Allen Americans have announced that they have re-signed 5’11” forward Brayden Watts for the 2025-26 season.

Junior Career

Brayden Watts started his junior career in the 2015-16 season playing in the WHL. In his five WHL seasons, Watts spent his time with the Moose Jaw Warriors, Vancouver Giants, and Prince Albert Raiders. In 315 games played, Watts registered 68 goals and 93 assists for 161 points with 60 penalty minutes and a +7. In 34 playoff games, he had seven goals and four assists for 11 points with two penalty minutes and a -3. Watts was an alternate captain for the Raiders in his lone season with them.

Professional Career

After completing his junior career, Watts signed with the ECHL’s Wichita Thunder, where he spent his first four seasons, serving as an alternate captain in the 2022-23 season. Watts then signed with the Allen Americans for the 2024-25 season. In 294 ECHL games, Watts has 79 goals and 171 assists for 250 points with 153 penalty minutes and a -101. In the 2024-25 season with the Americans, Watts played in 68 games where he had 19 goals and 34 assists for 53 points with 49 penalty minutes and a -49.

Watts is a very skilled forward who is able to produce, averaging almost a point per game in his ECHL career. On top of producing, Watts is able to play a physical game and, while he does not do it often, he is not afraid to drop the gloves when needed. On and off the ice, Watts brings a lot of leadership to his team with the experience from his former teams.
