Defenseman Andrew Peski is heading over to Denmark for the 2024-25 season after spending the past four seasons in the ECHL. He began his career with the Jacksonville Icemen before spending the last three years in Portland with the Maine Mariners. In 151 regular season games in the ECHL, Peksi has put up ten goals and 38 assists for 48 points; he has added a goal and three assists for four points in 19 career Kelly Cup Playoff Games. The 27-year-old blueliner has also seen some time at the AHL, playing in 20 games, putting up a goal and an assist while spending time with the Providence Bruins and Springfield Thunderbirds. Peski is the third Mariner this offseason to take the overseas route, joining forward Chase Zieky and defenseman Fedor Gordeev.
Prior to making the jump to the NCAA level, Peski spent one season in the USHL with the Tri-City Storm, where he scored two goals and 16 assists for 18 points in 59 games as the Strom went on to win the 2016 Clark Cup. The Ontario native would then spend four years at the University of North Dakota, where he would put up four goals and 17 assists for 21 points in 125 games with the Fighting Hawks. North Dakota would end up winning the NCHC during the 2019-20 season as the Fighting Hawks went 26-5-4 overall with a 17-4-3 record in conference play and would lose just one home game, which came against the University of Nebraska Omaha.
