ECHL Announces Daniel Amesbury Fine and Suspension | 04/15/2024

Fort Wayne’s Daniel Amesbury (F) has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in the game between Toledo at Fort Wayne, on April 14. Amesbury was first penalized for roughing in the first period. Moments later, Amesbury attempted to leave the penalty box to return to the ice to fight and was given an additional 10-minute game misconduct (2:33).

This is not the first time Amesbury has been fined and/or suspended this season. In March, Amesbury was suspended for two games after an incident during the Fort Wayne vs. Cincinnati game on March 15. During that game, Amesbury had attempted to incite a fight between himself and a player from Cincinnati during a line change.

Amesbury has played in 13 games for the Komets and has amassed a total of 52 penalty minutes to date.

For the incident on April 14, Amesbury was fined and suspended under Rule #70.6 and will miss the next five games for which he is on an ECHL roster.
