ECHL Fines and Transactions

For the second straight day, the ECHL has announced fines and suspensions. Today, they announced that three players have been suspended for their actions in last night’s games.

Chris Jandric Suspended

The ECHL has announced that Trois-Rivieres Lions defenseman Chris Jandric has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in Saturday’s game vs Norfolk Admirals. Jandric would deliver a cross-check to the head of Admiral’s forward, Stephan Timofeyev, at the 17:46 mark of the second period. He would be assessed a major for cross-checking and a game misconduct on the play. In 26 games with the Lions this season, he’s put up four goals and 21 assists for 25 points. His 21 assists currently lead the Lions. Jandric will miss today’s game vs Norfolk.

Josh Thrower Suspended

Kansas City Mavericks defenseman Josh Thrower has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in Saturday Night’s game vs Rapid City Rush. Thrower would deliver a hit to the head of Rapid City Rush forward Jack Jeffers at the 7:46 mark of the first period. He was assessed a match penalty for an illegal hit to the head. In 25 games with the Mavericks this season, the Squamish, BC native has two assists. Thrower will miss next Friday’s and Saturday’s games vs Wheeling Nailers.

Ryan Miotta Suspended

The ECHL Department of Players Safety has suspended Iowa Heartlanders forward Ryan Miotto two games and fined him an undisclosed amount for his actions in Saturday’s game vs Tahoe Knight Monsters. Miotto would throw Tahoe’s Dominic Vidoli into the boards and be assessed a major for boarding and a game misconduct. In 36 games this season with Iowa, Miotto has put up 13 goals and five assists for 18 points. He will miss today’s game vs Tahoe and next Friday’s game vs Cincinnati Cyclones.
