ECHL Announces Fines and Suspensions | 04/13/2024

The ECHL Department of Player’s Safety has announced two suspensions stemming from Friday Night’s Games. Atlanta‘s Griffin Luce (#25) has received a two-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for his conduct during last night’s game against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (04.12.24). This disciplinary action comes under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline after Luce received a match penalty for an illegal check to the head on Brett Kemp at 0:38 into the third period. As a result, Luce will be unavailable for both upcoming games against the Jacksonville Icemen on April 13 and 14. Luce has played in 63 games with three goals, and nine assists (12 points) and has served 52 minutes in penalties.

Rapid City‘s Ilya Nikolaev (#77) has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount due to his actions during the game between Wichita and Rapid City. Nikolaev’s suspension and fine were imposed under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline following the incident at 14:28 of the third period. Nikolaev will miss Rapid City’s game vs. Wichita tonight (April 13). Nikolaev has played in six games for the Rush, with two goals and six assists (8 points) with 14 minutes in penalties served to date.
