The ECHL has suspended South Carolina Stingrays forward Garet Hunt and Cincinnati Cyclones defenceman Sean Allen. Hunt will be suspended for one game following his 10th fighting major of the year. Hunt has 112 PIMS on the year and is one of the most penalized players in the ECHL. At 36 years old and the Stingray’s current captain, he stands at 2,799 in the ECHL with 761 games played. He has suited up for the Alaska Aces, Stockton Thunder, and the Jacksonville Icemen before landing in the low country to bear the “C” on his chest. His tenth fight came from Kyle Neuber of the Flordia Everblades on the Stingray’s home ice after Hunt exited the penalty box on a minor call. He will return to the lineup just in time to wrap up the series against the Everblades on Sunday.

Cincinati’s Sean Allen has been suspended one game for his actions during Friday Night’s game vs Wheeling Nailers. Allen was given a five-minute major for elbowing along with a game misconduct for elbowing Wheeling’s Jorden Martel at the 17:14 mark of the first period. Allen will miss tonight’s game vs Indy Fuel tonight. The 25-year-old defenceman has played ten games with the Cyclones after beginning the season with the Dundee Stars. Allen has spent five seasons in the ECHL, playing in 227 games and putting up five goals and 24 assists for 29 points while spending time with the Wichita Thunder and Cincinnati Cyclones.

Adirondack Thunder Grant Jozefek has been fined an undisclosed amount for his slash on Reading Royals forward Justin Michaelian at the 17:56 mark of the third period during Friday’s game. Jozefek would slash Michaelian in the knees, and the Royals forward would go down. It would take a few minutes until he would be helped up and headed straight to the locker room. Jozefek has three goals and 19 assists for 22 points in 46 games.
