
The Trois-Rivières Lions made their third signing in three days, and re-signed the second of the two Anthony’s as they announced the re-signing of forward Anthony Beauchamp. It was a rough first year in TR for Beauchamp who was limited to 22 regular-seaon games, where he put up seven goals and an assist for eight points. He was not the Lions Kelly Cup Playoff roster. The 26-year-old forward spent his first three seasons with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, putting up 31 goals and 44 assists for 75 points in 180 games. He would also see action in 11 Kelly Cup Playoff games with Greenville, while putting up a goal. Trois-Rivières has three of the first four signings of the 2024-25 season. The other signing came from the Fort Wayne Komets, who re-signed Alex Aleardi.
Prior to going pro, Anthony Beauchamp spent time in the QMJHL and USports. The Thurso, Quebec native played four years in the Q, playing with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, Gatineau Olympiques, and the Cape Brenton Screaming Eagles. In 152 QMJHL games, he would put up 17 goals and 27 assists for 44 points. He would add four goals in 16 career QMJHL Playoff games. Beauchamp would then play three years in USports, which included his first two seasons at Concordia University. In 37 games with the Stingers, he had five goals and 10 assists for 15 points. He added three goals and two assists for five points in nine playoff games. Beauchamp played three games with the University of Toronto during the 2021-22 season before making the jump to the ECHL.
