
The Worcester Railers have announced that they’ve signed defenseman Anthony Hora for the 2025-26 season. Hora, 27, made his ECHL debut this season with the Railers, where he had two assists in 12 games. He spent the majority of the season in the SPHL, where he put up four goals and 11 assists for 15 points in 33 games with the Evansville Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds would end up winning the President’s Cup last season as well. With the signing, the Railers now have six defenseman and 21 players signed for the 2025-26 season.
The Cheektowga, NY, native began his professional career in France during the 2023-24 season. He would put up three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 12 games with Evry-Viry in the France3 League. Hora finished the season in North America, putting up a goal and six assists for seven points in 17 games with the Macon Mayhem. Anthony’s older brother, Frank Hora, spent parts of six seasons in the ECHL. Frank Hora has spent the last three seasons playing overseas.
“Riley is a player who can be very versatile for us,” Tuzzolino said. “We plan on utilizing his skill set and his size to our advantage. He is a great player who can play anywhere from the top of our lineup to the bottom. We really look forward to having him here this year”

Prior to going pro, Hora spent the majority of his junior career in the OJHL with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres, where he put up 12 goals and 41 assists for 53 points in 116 games. He would add five assists in 15 career OJHL playoff games. Before making the jump to the NCAA, Hora spent nine games in the USHL with the Des Moines Buccaneers. Hora would spend three seasons in the NCAA at SUNY-Brockport, where he put up 11 goals and 25 assists for 36 points in 50 games with the Golden Eagles. In his final year with the Golden Eagles, he would serve as the team captain despite putting up three goals in just four games during his last season of eligibility.
